Bus Schedule and Taxi Information
The Local Bus makes its way past Hummingbird House every forty minutes, starting at 6:10am (Approximately).
Here are the times you can catch a
bus from right in front of Hummingbird House each day,
and go as far as the Terminal Terestre in Otavalo (about
35 minutes in total). The cost one way is $0.40 per
person:
Look for the bus that has
placards that say "MOJNDITA and/or CURUBI"
(They are
the Red and Blue Busses)

Basic Transportation Costs
- As mentioned above, the bus to Otavalo costs $0.40 a person and passes by approximately every 40 minutes.
- The taxi will cost $5 one way to Otavalo, or one
way from Otavalo to the Hummingbird House.
You can get the costs of other trips, simply by asking Bolivar. You can also get costs for having him be your driver for a half day or whole day. - Bolivar can also provide transport to and from the Quito Airport, cost is approximately$55
